About this deal

Oh, and she gave very detailed instructions for how we can all spend 15 years slowly eliminating foods from our diets until we eat nothing but fruit. Why would I want to live off of fruit? It’s like her hair-brained ideas about money and karma, it’s about martyrdom and the denial of human pleasures.

I have highlighted i greatly and it's always by my bed. Have do and will continue to read it to everybody. My family, Young people and the couple section helps you learn the others sign with comparability. Holden, James H. (2006). "Linda Goodman and Sun Signs". A History of Horoscopic Astrology (2nded.). American Federation of Astrologers. ISBN 9780866904636. For me the best thing about this book is it helped me appreciate myself and other people. At the end of the day, I always end up saying "kaya pala ganyan siya dahil ganito ang sign niya." This book is not made to create prejudice but to help understand the oddness of other people. Linda Goodman's books also reference what she referred to as the "disappearance" of her eldest daughter, 18-year old Sarah "Sally" Snyder, in the 1970s, and the mystery around her reported death. Linda's husband Sam Goodman had identified the body at the New York morgue, and had the body cremated, but recanted the identification a few days later. Linda never accepted the official police closure report as a suicide or accidental suicide, and spent much money, and continued to search for Sally for the rest of her own life. Finally, she believed that her daughter was dead but would return by reincarnation. [2] [3] Death [ edit ]

I felt I had to come on here and review this book today because nobody paid much attention to my review of Liz Greene's "Astrology For Lovers", which is quite simply the best astrology book ever published in the history of the world. If the whole world was going up in flames and there was only time to save one book for posterity I expect most people would save the dictionary or the complete Shakespeare, but I would definitely be rescuing Liz Greene from the flames.

paradoxically absurd-she talks of not killing anyone, plants thinking((pseudoscience!!) and then justifies the genocide of millions of red indian by white racist british colony in America!!!what a joke??? The real draw, if you can dignify it with such a designation, of Linda Goodman's output is her hokey writing style. Her first book, Linda Goodman's Sun Signs, frequently read like a corny pop ballad from the 1930s, but it was still just barely sensible enough for a believer to consider it credible. The sentimentality of Linda Goodman's Love Signs is exaggerated enough to be a "New Age Bobby Goldsboro song," as one third party put it. For instance, take this elucidation on the Sun signs of Peter and Wendy from Peter Pan:Sadly, this book falls prey to the persistent bugaboo of sexism. Linda Goodman's Sun Signs was a flagrant offender in this regard; the worst of it occurred in the "Taurus Man" and "Pisces Woman" sections. (If you own a copy of the book or know where to obtain one, take a moment to read the respective passages and then wonder how a woman could be so sexist as to write them.) Heteronormativity dogs astrology books consistently, which is not helped by the general assumption in works of the genre that the reader is a heterosexual woman. No book carries the bias quite to the extremes of this one, though. In this book's case, the heteronormativity and gender binarism sometimes combine with the sentimental writing style to produce passages such as this, from the Aries Woman/Aries Man section: Linda Goodman's Sun Signs" is to "Astrology For Lovers" as the Datsun Cherry is to the Bugatti Veyron. There is not one single thing that Goodman does even half as well as Greene. The only people who give this book the time of day are the people who are not aware that the Liz Greene book exists. Had Liz Greene's publishers not for some inexplicable reason insisted the word "Lovers" be incorporated into her title (it was originally called "Star Signs For Lovers",) a lot more people would have read it, I feel sure. Goodman made Cripple Creek, Colorado, her home during the latter part of her life. She first lived in a small Victorian house on Carr Street ("the little crooked house on the crooked little street") and later moved to a newer home on the outskirts of the main town. Both homes still boast her spiritually themed stained-glass windows. The house on Carr Street is now a bed and breakfast. She died in Colorado Springs, Colorado, on October 21, 1995, at the age of 70, from complications of diabetes.

I found this book at a thrift store. And have used it consistently for years. I grew up hearing of zodiac signs and i can see traits . The book helped my interest. I started reading their sign and love sign.. To family and friends it helps all understanding there journey. Helps. something in it spoke to me. We are here to teach and we are here to learn.the karmatic wheel is always on plays away. making you going go through the sign again until get it.

Don't forget that Libra is a masculine sign, with a feminine ruler, Venus. No fair allowing one sex to take priority of mention over the other. Everything must be nicely balanced. The sense of poetry and beauty and harmony in Librans extends also to the equality of their relationship. It's clearly not "harmonious" to always name the man first—or place the male's wishes ahead of the female's. Just is just. Male chauvinism is just so...uncoordinated...so unpoetic. Don't you think? (Goodman, 655) This author really had no idea what she was talking about regarding money and karma. The stuff she said is dangerous for people to believe, point blank. A lot of fear mongering. She says you have to give half your money away to stay prosperous. That is a load of shit, and it’s actually arrogant to “give money away.” What people really need to be doing is paying one another for skills and talents and labors of love. If that were the case, everyone alive would be doing their dream job, and fulfilling their life purpose. You just give someone money, and it’ll be gone in no time. And there is no such thing as karma except for those who believe in it. They are punishing themselves through the universal Law of Attraction. This book is the reason by I am very much hooked in astrology nowadays. Linda Goodman carefully and accurately explain each zodiac sign in some forms of entertainment. In fact, I was suprised that most of her descriptions are true to me.

I think the message is good hopeful. she explains it in with wisdoms. And 8 apractical way to use the signs to get to know youself. Embark on your cosmic path to self-discovery with this comprehensive guide to the twelve signs of the zodiac. And she went on and on about people needing gurus to teach them. I’ve never had any gurus to give me their personal perspective. I think had she actually gone within to find true answers, this would be a much stronger book.

she said believe and just that believe and expect a miracle,!!!now what a fool,as of the whole world just by faith!!she never mentioned that we need action to achieve our goals, not just belief, since she wrote from the judeo-abrahamnic Christian ideology This book describes a lot regarding various sun signs in a very interesting way even if you do not want to believe it sometimes. It becomes very interesting when a person reads it and matches his or her qualities.
