Mould Growth: Break up the mouldy patches with a soft brush and then wash them away with warm, soapy water. Regular cleaning is the best way to prevent regrowth. I diluted Mold Armor and filled a trigger-type spray bottle. Like another mold cleaner I’d tested, I had to visit a neighbor’s house to find mold to treat. I repeated the spraying, and the second time I brushed the area while it was wet before rinsing. Still, traces of mold remained. For a gentler clean to remove surface dirt and cobwebs, you can use a solution of washing up liquid in warm water. Be careful not to over scrub with anything harshly abrasive, and avoid rubbing against the grain, as that can leave marks. The wood fibres, plastics and bonding agents are mixed and heated to be made into board length shapes. The boards are further pressed with a wood grain onto the surface and then cooled. Apply directly on the stain with a stiff-bristle brush and leave it on for 30 minutes, then rinse. Again I’d go down the apply neat and pressure washer route myself. Be careful though, bleaching your boards is quite possible though when that happened to mine the wood oil brought them up beautifully again. Clean the Deck with a Pressure Washer

Would old oil stains be vanquished as easily? I poured some of the remaining solution on an oil stain that had been on my driveway since last summer. About 5 minutes later, I rinsed it with water, and while the stain was lighter, I could still see traces. So I applied the solution a second time, scrubbed it with a nylon-bristle brush, and gave it another 5 minutes. This time when I rinsed, the oil stain was gone. When you compare it to the Everbuild you won’t have any issues at all with the quality. Both are up to the job of killing and loosening Algae and mould, taking a fair bit of the strain out of the process. I’ll say it again though, with volume it’s probably even more important – you could do with a jet washer to lighten the load. Gently scrub the affected area, working the cleaning solution into the surface to lift away the mould and mildew. Most suppliers and manufacturers should be able to produce copies of test reports and certification that grades the quality of the raw materials used in their manufacturing process.
