About this deal

I love Uncle Amon’s stories. There are always wonderful activities included at the end for kids to explore further. Older children should have no trouble reading these stories alone and younger children should enjoy having them read to them. The original version, released on Parlophone R 4219 in October 1956, [2] was recorded by English child actress Mandy Miller with an orchestra conducted by Phil Cardew. [3] It was arranged by Ron Goodwin and produced by George Martin. Although never a hit single, it was played countless times on BBC national radio in the UK in the 1950s and 1960s, particularly on Children's Favourites.

Authored by Ambassador Gingrich and illustrated by Susan Arciero, “From Sea to Shining Sea” will delight those who want to know how brave Americans forged a growing nation and spread freedom from coast to coast. Woollard, M.; Poposki, J.; McWhinnie, B.; Rawlins, L.; Munro, G.; O'Meara, P. (2011). "Achy breaky makey wakey heart? A randomised crossover trial of musical prompts". Take a guided tour through American history with Ellis the Elephant. “Sweet Land of Liberty” takes children on an entertaining and educational journey to introduce and explain the greatness of America. Traveling through time, Ellis partakes in the pivotal moments that have shaped our nation’s unique history and character. Authored by Ambassador Callista L. Gingrich and illustrated by Susan Arciero, “Sweet Land of Liberty” will delight young and old alike through the charming adventures of Ellis the Elephant and the story of why America is an exceptional nation. If that doesn’t happen, then the child is like Ellie, wandering the neighborhood by herself, feeling lost and alone, wanting someone to play with. Even children with friends can relate to this and it is a lesson to the children to go out of their way to say “hello” and ask the new child, “Do you want to play with me(us)?” This is a delightful story. It has a happy ending. The art is gracefully done and peaceful to look upon. "Ellie" reminds us that each one of us has something special to give to the world. Sometimes, it takes a bit of seeking to find that talent, that ability, that specialty. Ellie found hers after much dismay, but she becomes an happy elephant and the reader becomes happier once the tale is told.

The rhythm and tempo of this song is often used to teach people the rhythm of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). The recommended rate for CPR is 100 chest compressions per minute. A study at Coventry University compared the effectiveness of this song in maintaining this rhythm with an alternative of " That's the Way (I Like It)" and no song at all. The version used for the study was from a Little Acorns brand children's record, and was found to have a tempo of 105 beats per minute. Singing the chorus of the song twice, with a compression on each beat, results in exactly 30 compressions, which is the international standard for CPR. [6] M.G. Edwards is a writer of books and stories in the mystery, thriller and science fiction-fantasy genres. He also writes travel adventures and children's books. Authored by Ambassador Callista L. Gingrich and illustrated by Susan Arciero, “Christmas in America” will delight readers who want to discover how the celebration of Christmas has prevailed and brought out the best in our nation.Children's author Jacqueline Wilson chose the song as one of her Desert Island Discs in October 2005. Summary: This book is about a sweet elephant named Ellie. Ellie lives at the zoo with the rest of her zoo friends. One day the zookeeper gathered the animals and told them that the zoo was closing, the animals were heartbroken. All of the zoo animals decided to all pitch in and help clean up the zoo to make it look nicer. Everyone seemed to be able to do something to help but Ellie. Ellie felt like everyone had a talent but her. Ellie took the zookeepers paintbrush and started painting and she made beautiful paintings all around the zoo. Word spread about what Ellie could do. People from all over the world came to have their portrait painted by Ellie. Thanks to Ellie, the zoo was open for good! The story uses situations that my kids can relate to, like going out for ice-cream or playing on a swing. My son is easily able to understand how much more fun playing on a swing set or eating ice-cream is with a friend, rather than playing on his own.
