About this deal

Plant hormones: Seaweed extract contains natural plant growth regulators like cytokinins, auxins, and gibberellins, which stimulate cell division, root growth, and overall plant development. Most of the organic seaweed feed I use is absorbed through the leaves on your lawn. I apply it using a sprayer (it’s liquid) and I make sure that I use a fine nozzle for really accurate application.

Compost is arguably the best and most organic way of improving a clay soil bed. You can apply about a quarter of an inch and these days it’s highly recommended to use peat free compost. I’m always on the search for creative pet and kid-friendly solutions to improving my lawn. Liquid solutions containing seaweed kept coming up as a beneficial ingredient for lawn care. I couldn’t wrap my head around it. And so, I dove into study-mode and did a ton of research. What I found surprised me.The variable concentration of the mix: Seaweed is exceptionally beneficial in this area, especially when you’re using its liquid variant. Whether for a lawn or a house plant, the mix’s concentration can be varied accordingly. For house plants, a more potent level may be preferred, while a diluted blend will just be right for lawns.

SUPER SIMPLE: Apply as a spray or root feed, whichever is most convenient. Add little and often across the growing season. There really aren’t many situations you should avoid using it, in my opinion. Liquid fish fertilizer can be known to taint the taste of tomato plants and other garden veggies, but liquid seaweed fertilizer doesn’t do that.

PROMOTES GROWTH: Discover a natural bio stimulant which promotes growth in all plants, boosting crops and the size of fruits and vegetables. You should not fertilise dry turf – there should be moisture in the soil for the grass plants to be able to take in the nutrients. Before diving into the seaweed application in your garden, it’s essential to note that there are several forms of seaweed fertilizers. If you already know the square meterage of your garden you can skip this section and move to application and results section. But liquid seaweed isn't the only available form of seaweed fertilizer. They can also come in other forms. For clarity, here are the 4 ways you could buy seaweed fertilizer (types of seaweed fertilizer). Types of Seaweed Fertilizer 1. Liquid seaweed

Alternatively, you can make your own ‘home-made’ compost. You want to be careful that it is fully clean and doesn’t contain anything that might create weeds in the lawn. MAY

There is a growing demand for ‘natural’ and ‘organic’ plant feeds, and composts that are vegan as well as pet and child-friendly. This product claims to be all these things as it is derived only from plants. Wherever you stand on the eco-friendly properties, there is no denying that this concentrated liquid feed produces great, healthy plants. It has an NPK ratio of 4-1.5-4, which resulted in healthy plants that put on a good display of flowers. Once you’ve aerated, it’s time for the top dressings. Apply organic Calcified Seaweed or non-organic lime Secondly, while they contain nutrients, although it may be in lesser amounts, they also garner many benefits that aren’t seen with the application of conventional fertilizers. I’ve talked about Iron in previous blogs. It’s an important component in chlorophyll. You might remember chlorophyll from your GCSE days. It’s the substance that makes leaves green and it allows the leaf to harness sunlight and make the sugars that fuel the plant. A plant that is short of iron is pale coloured, weak and insipid. That’s why I always want to apply an Iron-rich seaweed tonic to lawns that are growing fast in springtime and to lawns that are getting ready to face winter. It’s a good way to make sure the plants can make as much energy as they need to thrive. Yes, always water your lawn before and after fertilising - or wait until it is due to rain. What is NPK?

I daren’t put a price on a blog – you might be reading this well into the future. And without seeing your lawn it wouldn’t be fair to make a recommendation and give you a price. Five important hormones are common in plants. They include; auxins, cytokinins, gibberellins, abscisic acid, and ethylene. Each of which works together or solely to influence plant growth. Benefits of Liquid Seaweed Fertilizer Liquid feeds usually have a different balance of nutrients from tomato feeds – liquid feeds typically contain more nitrogen to fuel green, leafy growth, while tomato feeds have higher concentrations of potassium to produce fruit. That said, there is enough potassium in a liquid feed to keep pots of bedding plants flowering happily all summer.FOR BOTH PLANTS AND LAWNS: Add Clean Kelp to all of your houseplants, vegetable garden, and your lawn for healthy green plants. An interesting use case includes using seaweed kelp with seaweed garden mulch. These are all great resources for your plants. But be sure to take what you need and leave a significant part of this seaweed on the beach. I find myself alongside many organic farming consultants recommending the liquid seaweed spray. And this shouldn't have anything to do with whatever product or fertilizers you've decided to add to your plant menu. Ensure you've got the seaweed on constant reps.
