This section of the Thames path winds in and around inlets, wharfs and bridges, with cool historic sights along the way. Most London bridge walks that start at Tower Bridge will take you to touristy spots; this doesn’t. Notice this cool bridge while passing through the woods, named after British GP and MP Alfred Salter. Exit the common and cross into Fontenoy Road. Turn right into Bedford Hill and then left into Ritherdon Road. This is one of the most beautiful hidden walks in London, with wooded areas, incredible greenery, posh park paths, great architecture, and creepy cemetery vibes. If you’re curious about this secret London walk, you can find the full route, map, photos, and video on my Clerkenwell walking tour blog post.
