About this deal

Listen, Navier. What you need to do when he brings in a mistress is find yourself a younger, more handsome, and stronger man than Sovieshu and make him your lover. You understand me?” Empress Mother: Navier's distant relative and former mother-in-law. It is said that the late empress had a soft spot for Navier and cared for her very much. The two spent many days together preparing for Navier's eventual inheritance of her position as an empress. Lady Laura caught my eye. “If so, then she probably belongs to Viscount Lotteshu. The hunting ground is connected to his property.” Navier was the perfect empress, however, the Emperor wanted a wife, not a colleague. And so, the Emperor abandoned Empress Navier and placed a slave girl beside him. That was fine, until Navier heard the Emperor promise the slave girl the Empress' position. After much agonizing, Navier decided she would remarry the emperor of the neighboring country. Plenty of Blondes: For some reason Sovieshu and the Rimwells are the only major characters with dark hair. The rest have varying shades of blonde or white/silver.

Countess Jou b ert: One of Navier's ladies-in-waiting from the Eastern Empire. Countess Joubert would like that Navier lives as happily as possible, whatever that means improving her deteriorating marriage with Sovieshu or outright divorcing him to remarry into a healthier relationship with Heinrey. Like Laura, Countess Joubert followed Navier to the Western Empire to be her lady-in-waiting there as well. In chapter 257 ( Go to chapter) Kaufman tells Princess Charlett that he loves her, to let Kosair can be with Violet Mastas, since they love each other. In which chapter Sovieshu sees Navier’s babiesSovieshu insists on bringing the wedding forward so that it will be before Navier’s wedding. Sovieshu and Rashta’s wedding dressed as a Christmas tree is in the novel in chapter 107 ( Go to chapter) . In which chapter is the wedding of Navier and Heinrey? Christa Zemensia, who is also a popular, Proper Lady queen from a ducal house who failed to conceive an heir with her husband. Navier's arrival to the Western court causes Christa to lose her spotlight and results in her fighting to retain her position. However, while Navier was always capable on her own, Christa is a pawn of her family. My face is quite beautiful, but everyone tends to overestimate me because they knew me as the crown princess when I was little and now as the empress. It was difficult for them to gauge exactly how beautiful I am.

And in those characters, the potential was wasted in my view, because of a trope that I HATE: when the story pits women against women. The plot kind of creates an environment in which the main source of confrontation is a man (the emperor) and at least I didn't see him exposed as the real problematic thing for those two women. On one side we have the empress on the other the mistress, and of course, the mistress will take 99% of the responsibility, guilt, shame, and villainy in this while it should be divided with that asshole: the emperor, who is pictured mostly as the "fool" and not as the controlling and selfish traitor that he is. What are the odds that Zavian, the son of the devil, would fall for the only woman whose destiny is to destroy him?In the beginning of time, war broke out between the fallen angels and the devil, and the devil was defeated and cast into the underworld. During the war, Zavian, the devil’s son, turned against his father and joined hands with the other demons to defeat him, which made the devil kill his son's wife as a punishment for betraying him.But 500 years later, there appeared a woman slave who looked exactly like his wife, and Zavian, who had longed for his dead wife, couldn’t help but get drawn to her.But the devil had other plans for his son. To return to earth his son has to die. Is the queen's doppelganger part of the devil's plans?Would Zavian fall right into his father’s trap or has fate got other plans for him?…Everyone stood before the king, the high and the low, with their heads bowed. This was the day they had waited for, for centuries. King Zavian was finally getting remarried. To strengthen the bond between the seven kingdoms of the earth, Zavian was to get married to one of the beautiful princesses standing in front of him.But his eyes were drawn to the lowly maid standing afar off. The witches had warned him about her, and he knew he shouldn’t be with her, but she was something he couldn't resist. The more he tried to run away from her, the more drawn he was to her.Even though everything in him screamed not to, Zavian stood up and walked past the princesses in front of him and to the maid; She was tiny in her dress, and her whole body trembled as he approached her, her eyes pinned to her feet, afraid to behold his face. He smiled as he held her face, tilting her head to look at him;‘’Neera, will you be my queen?’’And that was when all of hell broke loose.......The novel is written by zhiruyi on webnovel.com. detail Navier is theperfect empress, competent and regal, but there's not much to her character other than that. She's actually a very boring character. Yes, the authorgivesNavier faults like not being able to express her emotions, being too logical, etc. but from the beginning of the novel to the end, she's basically the same character. It is hard to root for a character, the main character, who is perfect in every way and without true faults (and whatever faults she has are superficial or get resolved easily- her love life, her role as Empress, etc.)She moves from the Eastern Empire to the Western Kingdom, has to establish herself in the Western Kingdom as the new queen, etc., but it's just more politics, which she is already competent with because of her role as the former Empress of the Eastern Empire. She marries another king of a foreign country and becomes the new empress when the kingdom becomes an empire, so she doesn't even have to deal with no longer being the empress. Navier doesn't actually have to grapplewith threats she can't handle; even her biggest obstacle, that being what she's supposed to do after Sovieshu divorces her and she is no longer empress, is not really an obstacle for her because she already has someone who can solve it for her. The role of empress is literally given to her because the man she marries is another king/emperor. Which brings me to the next character: Heinley. Readers of the story can criticize Sovieshu all they want, and the criticism is justified, but why should Heinley get a pass? He and the Western Kingdom were actuallystealing magic from the Eastern Empire's mages, would have gone to war with the Eastern Empire, and killed Emperor Sovieshu. Heinley even admits himself that was his plan, and he would have taken Navier as his prize, if things hadn't developed the way they did in the story (Rashta, the divorce, Navier remarrying Heinley). Heinley doesn't invade the Eastern Empire after marrying Navier, but his behavior doesn't improve in the future. He continues to instill this behavior in his and Navier's children, encouraging them to invade/start wars with other countries. As idiotic as Sovieshu might have been, in his reign as an emperor, he certainly never went to war or planned to go to war with another country. Lady Laura fussed with my train. “No matter how pretty that slave girl may be, she doesn’t hold a candle to you, Your Majesty.” Meanwhile, the empress really just wants to be a good empress. She does her job well, even with Rasta rubbing her baby and her relationship with the emperor on her face. She maintains a professional distance with the other guys, and she tries to maintain a good relationship with the emperor. Although it seems that she is fed up with the emperor these days, especially when he wants her to celebrate his and Rasta's baby.within the first chapter it shows Sovieshu asking for a divorce from Navier, which she gladly accepts but she also asks for approval of remarriage to a man of her choosing… Spell My Name With An S: Due to various translations, the spelling of names of most characters varies greatly between the novels, webtoon and the game. So far only "Navier" and "Rashta" remain consistent.

Love Ruins the Realm: The whole plot starts because of it and things go From Bad to Worse concerning Sovieshu on this matter. Third, Rasta is jealous of the empress and everything she has (the position of the empress and the official wife, her loving family, her riches, etc) while the empress is envious of Rasta (for having the emperor's love, her cute and lovable demeanor,...and for her baby)

Moreover Rashta is literally being manipulated by Sovieshit, can y’all sympathize with her a bit? You think everything’s about Navier? Oh my god who gives a shit. Chekhov's Gunman: Lady Alicia. She is only briefly discussed during Nianne's tea party, but both her character and said discussion have long lasting consequences: One of the older women said, “You may not know this yet since you’ve just come of age and you haven’t been in love before, Your Majesty, but…” I waited for Sovieshu to mention the girl from the hunting trip, but he never said a word about her. He acted as nonchalant as usual.

Rashta. While Rashta is an illiterate runaway slave and Navier is an educated lady from a high-ranking aristocratic family, as story goes by, their plots mirror each other. After divorcing Sovieshu, Navier comes to the West where she finds herself in a similar situation. While she doesn't break any marriage, she is viewed with suspicion by the previous queen and her ladies-in-waiting, who see her as usurping Christa's place, even though Heinly obviously wouldn't marry his widowed sister-in-law. And yes, Christa's family also tries to poison Navier when she is pregnant, just like Kosair tried to poison Rashta. In chapter 116 ( Go to chapter) , first empress, is the official celebration of Navier and Heinley’s marriage, and they also officially declare the Western Kingdom as the Western Empire. Establishing Character Moment: At the start of the story Navier and Heinly anonymously exchange letters via messenger bird. After arriving to the palace Heinly claims he's searching for his mysterious penpal. Rashta comes forward, claiming it was her. Heinly, fully aware this is not the case, goes along with it, until he starts asking Rashta questions about contents of those letters, revealing the lie. Rashta keeps insisting she's not lying, bursts into tears, accuses Heinly of being mean, causes a scene during the official dinner with foreign guests and makes Sovieshu side with her against Heinly. Navier, who up until that point viewed Rashta as just a Naïve Newcomer, realizes Rashta is absolutely willing to lie and manipulate people even in the face of Implausible Deniability just to get her way.

That being said, she was very carefree and engaging and often mischievous in her crown Princess days. She often sneaked out of her home when certain "Sir Leedy" came to visit her, which was a secret code name for Sovieshu. She often hit him with pillows whenever he teased him too much or she got mad at him. Hitting him with a pillow also led to the incident of her first ever kiss. In a more of a Rewatch Bonus way, the same scene is also one for Heinly, showing his manipulative tendencies by deliberately making a fool of Rashta, stirring up conflict and milking the fact that he was disrespected. At the time he still was planning a war, so his actions are making sense in that light. Marriages of convenience were common among the royal family and the nobility. We considered marriage to be a political tool and devoted our love only to our lovers. It was common for both male and female nobles to have lovers.
