About this deal

MOH is set up to complete about 3 lessons per week for 36 weeks in Volume 1. The other volumes have slightly less lessons but they are longer. This gives you flexibility to take your time, spread out the lessons, or dive into several activities or map work for each lesson. Is MOH secular or Christian? The Mystery of History series is designed so that even inexperienced parents can break free from traditional textbooks. These four courses combine read-aloud information with age-appropriate activities for kindergarten through twelfth grade to create a multi-sensory curriculum for history and geography with a very strong biblical base. The first two volumes are best for the younger end of the K-12 spectrum even though the independent reading level for Volume I is about fourth or fifth grade. The reading level gradually advances with each volume. Parents will be reading aloud with younger children, and the storytelling-style of writing makes the material more accessible than you would expect for younger students. Many activities and suggestions are included to adapt every volume to the entire K-12 age span, but the last two volumes are definitely better for older students. While no serious scholar believes that this story is literally true, some have speculated that the legend could have been inspired, in part, by real events that happened in Greek history. One possibility is that the Minoan civilization (as it's now called), which flourished on the island of Crete until about 1400 B.C., could have inspired the story of Atlantis. Although Crete is in the Mediterranean, and not the Atlantic, Minoan settlements suffered considerable damage during the eruption of Thera, a volcano in Greece. We believe that the blessings of salvation are made free to all by the gospel; that it is the immediate duty of all to accept them by a cordial, penitent, and obedient faith; and that nothing prevents the salvation of the greatest sinner on earth, but his own inherent depravity and voluntary rejection of the gospel; which rejection involves him in an aggravated condemnation.

Science in the Ancient World is an engaging, exciting, hands-on, multilevel elementary resource that is the second in a planned series of books by Dr. Jay Wile.We believe that Repentance and Faith are sacred duties, and also inseparable graces, wrought in our souls by the regenerating Spirit of God; whereby being deeply convinced of our guilt, danger and helplessness, and of the way of salvation by Christ, we turn to God with unfeigned contrition, confession, and supplication for mercy; at the same time heartily receiving the Lord Jesus Christ as our Prophet, Priest and King, and relying on Him alone as the only and all sufficient Savior. There are some resources that we will use throughout this study, all the way to modern history. You’ll see them mentioned in specific lessons.
