About this deal

This educational material helps caravanners new and experienced alike to learn more about owning a caravan, upkeep and other important things. In further efforts to financially support the Archive, our team have produced a wealth of educational material.

To compliment our handbook owner’s manual collection, we also have a HUGE library of instruction manuals, installation instructions and usage guides for all the appliances, features and facilities inside of your caravan. Enforcement Weighing Of Vehicles – Consolidated Code of Practice : Code of Practice on Dynamic Axle Weighers-1 Older Caravan Wiring Diagrams i really want anyone to have access to the right information. i even have manuals for the now obsolete carver cascade1 and carver caravelle heater. since i started in this trade 14yrs ago i have collected All the manuals i could get my hands on. My friend's manual on Trailers will also incorporate sections by other experts, and will include much material relevant to Caravans e. g. chassis, loading and towcar electrics etc. To date he's been on it 14 months, getting photos and information etc. and he's still working on it!! Not to mention the countless hours our team dedicates to the project to ensure accurate and complete information is supplied at all times.

In particular, we recommend investing in our Caravan Damp Test Video Course which we have paired with our Ultimate Caravan & Motorhome Winterisation Guide (Ebook) as a free bonus. Our library currently contains more than 100 digital owner’s manuals for the mainstream caravan manufacturers past and present. CaravanArchives.com is an active project to digitally compile information and documentation for touring caravans, especially those that were manufactured by companies that are no longer in business. Many new parts may beneeded in a general upgrading project. Unfortunately, lotsof the items fitted in ourhomes aren’t suitable foruse in caravans; they couldbe too heavy, for example.

Without exception, renovatinga caravan is going to involve a critical look at the basic supply systems. As already mentioned, gas supplies should be left to experts, although you can replace cylinder-mounted regulators and items such asthe flexible coupling hose. Millard has been through a few changes over the years, but is one of the longest enduring names in the Australian caravan industry. Millard Caravan Renovations

In an effort to create a one-stop source for caravan owners who are looking for otherwise unavailable information and instruction about their caravans we are working on creating the Internet’s largest single digital caravan handbook library. Founded by post-war pioneer Philipp Kreis in October 1949, Truma has transformed from a gas lamp assembly company into Europe’s leading manufacturer in the field of liquid gas heaters for leisure vehicles and boats. This includes but is not limited to; ovens & cookers, fridges, cassette toilets, heating & water systems, alarm systems, electrical and gas systems. In the short and to the point video course you will learn; what equipment you need to perform a damp test, how to spot the early signs of damp and how to perform the actual test itself.

the idea is i would do all the work myself. having a vast knowledge of touring caravans and being responsible for training staff to pass their city and guilds. i am a founder member of the ACW and on their working party for raising standards of training. there is so much bull spoken by people in the trade to confuse customers and part them from their hard earned money. im trying to see if there is a need for good jargon-free advice on fault finding, repairing and advice. this will cover ALL aspects of touring caravans and ALL manufacturers specs and diagrams inc, truma, electrolux, carver, dometic, plug in systems, bca, alko, bpw, knott, whale, surflo etc. These documents are incredibly useful if you have acquired a pre-owned caravan and need more information on things such as; weights & dimensions, fitted appliances (makes and models) and sleeping arrangements. This is obviously fairly generic in nature, but whether caravan-specific information could be appended I'm not sure; it would certainly need the co-operation of the manufacturers. And some of the older ones, where such information would be especially useful, have long gone out of business. Other manufacturers may be reluctant to release all their technical info. on each model of their 'van. (They won't publish nose-weight info. for a start!!)

I don’t know how much experience you have of technical writing but there are a number of pitfalls already looming up that you should be aware of: This archive includes touring caravan brochures, technical specifications and in some cases the original price list. They’ve thought ahead as well, with a set of bunks at one end so that it’s perfect for a family (even though it’s just the two of them, and Ziggy the dog). In the future, if they decide to sell, or list it on Camplify or have a family themselves, they’ve got the perfect Maggie already.Trumatic Heater S3002 – 5002 Operating Instructions | Trumatic S3002 – 5002 Installation Instructions | Truma Ultraheat Operation Instructions | Truma Ultraheat Installation Instructions | Truma Ultrastore Rapid Installation and Operation Instructions | Trumavent TEB – TN Instruction Manual VOSA When it comes to caravan electrics, you must be aware that both 230V and 12V systems can potentially lead to fires and fatalities. However, some owners have extensive experience of using the appropriate cables, switches, fused control units and so on. Accordingly they adhere to safety advice, and wire-up interior caravan lights and couple-up leisure batteries. However, anyone who has doubts about their own knowledge, ability or experience should entrust such work to an electrical specialist who is familiar with the practices adopted in caravans. Don’t fall into the trap of trying to cover every caravan type in common use. Many manufacturers issue one manual to cover their complete range in a given year (e. g. Explorer), the result is something far too complicated with many mistakes made both in writing and reading. When you’ve stripped out unwanted appliances and furniture, and have a caravan whose towing and running gear are safe and serviced, it’s time to take it (empty) to a weighbridge. You’ll see that for each of the Millard caravan renovations, I’ve included the link to the people who did all this hard work.
