About this deal

Values Cards are a self-exploration tool that you can use to think about what is most important in your life -- your values. Your values are clues to your talents, and your dominant talents will naturally influence your values. Having identified our values, we know where we want to go in life, the direction we want to progress towards. We might set goals along the way. Littman-Ovadia, H., Lazar-Butbul, V., & Benjamin, B. A. These are likely to be your Life Values.

Once done, they repeat the exercise, indicating how much fulfillment each value brings to their lives right now (where 1 is “no fulfillment,” and 10 is “total fulfillment”).The Values Cards include an activity that asks you to describe how your dominant CliftonStrengths themes influence your core values. To get the most benefit from these cards, we recommend that you take the CliftonStrengths assessment so you know what your dominant themes are. A specific examination into strengths-based career counseling revealed that over 80% of strengths-based intervention clients reported achieving their goals three months later, in comparison to 60% of traditionally coached clients (Littman-Ovadia et al., 2014; Burke, 2018). We are often highly critical of those we have relationships with. As a result, we can damage the bond between us and how the other person feels. Most of us know the importance of good relationships at work, in education, and our personal lives. This worksheet defines meaningful long- and short-term goals to help clients focus their energies according to their values.

Mostly we act in accordance with our values to maintain a sense of well-being. But often our values are compromised by circumstances or events and we do things that don’t feel right. When we do things that are at odds with our values, we feel uncomfortable. Living in a situation where it is a constant struggle to act according to our values can cause stress, anxiety and depression. Strength cards can also be used when working with children, as they provide an introduction to developing self-confidence and an awareness of one’s strengths by simply relating to the images.
