About this deal

Sri Lankan born Ayesha ends up in a marriage arranged by her parents. But the handsome Suresh is not the man her parents Ayesha thought he was. It has been a marriage of abuse and pain. After years of abuse from him, Ayesha takes her daughter Sabina and flees. Ayesha desperately wants a new life for herself and her child. Author Samantha Swanson has always been fond of porcupines, and this little animal makes a special cameo in the book. While [book title] could appeal to a wide audience, I believe it’s particularly fitting for [specific audience]. For instance:

I have to say that i totally love it. Ayesha mangsa penderaan suami nekad melarikan diri dari rumah. Segala perancangan sudah dibuat berbulan lamanya dan akhirnya dia berjaya melarikan diri dari suami bersama anak perempuannya. In the dead of night, Ayesha takes her daughter, Sabina, and slips quietly from her home, leaving behind a life of full of pain. And being the son of Big Roan Sullivan doesn't make Roanie's life any easier in the town of Dunderry. It's no wonder why he's hell bent on rejecting anything good that may come his way. In Roanie's life, anything good eventually comes to a disastrous end...that is, until he meets Claire... Done! I feel happy to be over with this as much as i felt the writer wanting to just end it somehow. I usually love Carole Mathew's books, but this one...my views are as jammed and chaotic as bad traffic. I don't know...how can a life full of abuse and treachery just end in shower of cupcakes and rainbows that easily? If everything was so easy then what was the point of the difficultues at all?

If you’re a fan of books that deal with real-life situations and human emotions, then A Place to Call Home is the book for you. Samantha Swanson has done an excellent job of creating likable characters and a story that will make you laugh and cry at the same time. A Place to Call Home - TV ONE". He is very generous toward Sarah from the time she arrives in town, eventually offering her a refuge in his small home. They develop an easy, informal, mutually-supportive friendship. [3]

A Place To Call Home begins on a ship when a nurse―Sister Adams by name--works her passage home to Australia to console her mother who is grieving for a son killed in the Korean War. Estranged from her family, she stands before the welcome mat, fearful of what she will find inside and wondering whether her mother will accept her despite a breach of decades. Several minutes into their reunion, the mother tells her daughter to leave because she cannot reconcile with a child, born a Catholic, who is now―a Jew. The author of this book, Samantha Swanson, herself experienced losing her parents at a very young age. Hence, the story is somewhat inspired by her own life events. Season 5 was announced by Foxtel on 16 November 2016. The timeline of season 5 skips ahead from 1954 to the year 1958. A: “A Place to Call Home” is a heartwarming story about a young girl named Mia who’s in foster care and looking for a family to call her own. Mia goes on an adventure filled with ups and downs as she searches for a place to belong. So there are two parts to the book, the first part-the past and the second-the present. The past was perfect. I really thought I was on to something and that I had made a good choice when I decided to read the book. The portrayal of this young innocent child in love was beautiful. I wasn't skeptic at all (which is somewhat of a surprise). Deborah really pulled her character off. I mean even the part when she first finds out about sex (I had to mention it). Yes I really loved her reaction because it reminded me of mine so I connected with this young child. What amazes me even more is how the author portrayed Roanie's feelings for Claire. Because they had a 5 years age gap (this mattered because she was 9 and he 14... you get my point don't you?), had Roanie felt anything sexual towards Claire, that would have been completely wrong in my book. The author takes a different spin on his feelings, they aren't brotherly but they aren't sexual either they have a hint of romantic but really she was the one person who saw beyond everything else and to him instead of all the other B.S.. so she meant the world to him, he would have done anything for her. A Place to Call Home Book by Samantha Swanson is a touching story that will surely tug at your heartstrings.

I think that the subject matter of domestic abuse and how it affects a family, made this a rather poignant book as it was her normal beautifully written romantic comedy but with a great deal of seriousness thrown in too. This made for a fantastic read. I read this book on a hunch really (I am not even sure if that's the right way to put it) and honestly it just didn't pan out. I just wanted a little light/fun romance to balance out the other 4 books I was reading at the moment. Lambert, David (16 February 2016).
