About this deal

Depending on what is loaded on that pad, the light might be set to respond to the BPM of the Strike Multipad. If you would like the Pad to stop blinking, you can change that in the light settings in Pad view. Bought at the beginning of the year this after some consideration, since what I really wanted an e-drum set, but had some unavoidable space constraints. Yes. Record samples direct to the Strike Multipad using a microphone, phone, computer, USB input or virtually any other audio device to capture live or pre-recorded samples, even off the internet. The Alesis Strike MultiPad has been a breath of fresh air in the world of samplepads, and firmware update v1.3 continues to bring the very best to the Strike MultiPad community. The Roland SPD-SX and Alesis Strike MultiPad are the two big hitters vying for the top percussion pad spot. The former has been the go-to for a number of years thanks to its intuitive design, CD sound quality and perfect integration into v-drum setups or working as a standalone instrument.

I don’t actually believe this is possible. I think your idea here is a little ahead of its time. Sampling via bluetooth would be great, but the Alesis Strike Multipad does not have this kind of capability.Of course, you can take this concept much farther inside a DAW with a computer, but it is nice to have a standalone feature such as this. The Looper Editing the start and stop points doneby using the two left rotary knobs. Be sure to use the zoom function to get as close to the start of the wave as you can. While the Alesis Strike MultiPad has extensive sampling capabilities for you to record and create, it also comes with many samples and loops built-in. Need just a clap or a cowbell here or there? The SPD-One is perfect for you. There’s only one pad to hit here and nothing complicated about it. By far the smallest contender on the list is the SPD-One.

Creating your own kits is very simple, thanks to the large, informative display, dedicated buttons and intuitive user interface. Starting with an empty user kit, simply hit a pad and press the Sound button to access the Sound Assign screen, where you assign a sample to a pad. Like many electronic percussion devices, the Strike lets you assign two samples — Wave A and Wave B — to a pad, and mix between them using velocity. Sound selection is via the data knob, turning it to navigate sound categories and pushing it to confirm your selection. This leaves your other hand free to hit the pad and audition the sound. Sample Manager: Browse, play and delete any existing samples saved to Strike MultiPad’s internal storage. Export samples from the internal storage to an external USB drive. The Strike MultiPad V1.3 update adds a number of "quality of life" enhancements when managing onboard kits and samples: RoundRobin - Each successive hit alternated between layer A and layer B. When one layer is set to RoundRobin, the other layer will also be set to RoundRobin automatically. If one layer is changed from the RoundRobin mode, the other will default to OneShot (mono). It does seem like Alesis is phasing out the SamplePad Pro, but I’m not totally sure. The newer pad is awesome, but the price is much steeper. If I were you, I’d try to find one now. Before long, used will be your only bet.

First up is the Avid Pro Tools | First software. Widely known as the industry standard DAW found in recording studios across the world, Pro Tools offers professional level audio functionality. Nord Keyboards is a Swedish instrument manufacturer. The company began in 1983 when founder Hans Nordelius created the Digital Percussion Plate 1. Since then, Nord has made tons of great products used by many musicians all over the world. The Alesis Strike MultiPad will take your drums to the next level! Jamie from Alesis talks through the latest product, the Strike MultiPad: http://bit.ly/2Ejs3qD - This new drum pad could be a fierce competitor against other brands... Use the ‘Play’ button to see how you did editing. If the volume seems a little low, you can use the normalize function to bring it to the level of all the other samples.
