About this deal

Circle with X in represents the light. It doesn't matter which way round the 12V lighting circuit goes, and it would appear that it supports up to 4 lights. Tesco Mobile is to start charging new and recently joining pay-monthly customers to use their mobiles in Europe from 2024. Unlike the 7W DR450 and the 10W Philips Master LEDs, the Lucci LEDlux 6W LED does not 'simulate' the load

LED Driver Transformer 240V - 12V Including MR16 Connector

I have 2 gu4 halogen bulbs in my fireplace. I’ve tried to replace with two led bulbs. When I install the new led bulbs they dont work. If I leave one led bulb in and install 1 halogen bulb in the led light lights up. The halogen bulb does not. The driver you need depends on how many bulbs you want it to power multiplied by the wattage. It’s also advised the total wattage of all bulbs combined doesn’t exceed 80% of the transformer’s wattage. So if you choose to power 4 x 4W MR16 bulbs (16W total) from one driver, you’ll need a 20W driver. If you want to power 4 x 6W MR16 bulbs, you’ll need a 30W transformer, and so on. You may have bought or are thinking about buying some LED strip lighting or MR16 fittings or spotlights for your home. Either way you’re here to find out the whats and whys about LED drivers (or transformers). This handy guide will help you make an informed decision and give you the fundamentals you need when buying a driver. Why do I need an LED driver?frequency, the power consumed across transformers given the same load varied little (within ± 0.2 W). The power losses Driver should refer to a current regulated DC power supply, but often same name given to voltage regulated device, so you need to be careful. Different LED drivers are required for different environments for example indoor, outdoor use or kitchen or bathroom. If the driver is to be used outside we recommend that a waterproof driver is used with a minimim IP 65 rating. We would also recomend this for kitchens and bathrooms a waterproof driver with a IP67 minimum rating is used.

Not sure what you mean by splitter, if more than 1 light is run off a single output of the transformer you may well overload it. Electronic transformers are very simple switched mode power supplies. They "chop" the input 230 V/125 V sine wave in a way that will yield an average output voltage of 12 V. However, the peak voltage will be much higher and will eventually kill LEDs (that's no problem with Halogen lamps because they react more slowly). In addition, the chopped waveform may cause radio interference if the cables to the lamps are too long. The waveform may also be the reason why your voltage readings are off. There are a number of problems, but it is possible non will affect you, so I will try and list them. If you’re switching to LED MR16s from halogen MR16s, then LED drivers are pretty important. They’re used to power low voltage (12v) LED bulbs and strip lighting, providing a constant current to make sure they work properly. They’re mainly used for strip lighting, and MR16, MR11 and G4 spotlight bulbs. In some cases your existing (normal) 12v transformer will work. However, this can reduce the lifespan of the bulb. Also I presume a reasonably competent (non-qualified) person can do this (taking appropriate precautions of course inc. turning off the mains supply).
