About this deal

If an author is trying to send a message through a book, I personally much prefer being talked TO than being talked AT, and that's what makes difference here, really.

Would I recommend it? Yes. It's good for reading in one sitting or if you're looking for a book just to pass your time! But it's pretty forgettable! ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ PDF / EPUB File Name: Tis_the_Season_for_Revenge_-_Morgan_Elizabeth.pdf, Tis_the_Season_for_Revenge_-_Morgan_Elizabeth.epubHe was too perfect ๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ญ And not in the way where I simply don't expect basic decency from men in real life anymore, and I project that onto my romance reading material. In a way where, while characters can be decent and good, there should also be room for SOME flaws. The way it was written, the Richard vs. Damien situation was almost caricature-like. That should be a good thing. Eggnog and Christmas carols. Mistletoe and family. Except my dad broke his leg hanging the family wreath. My brothers are at war over taking proper care of Dad. Oh, and I just found out our family business, the Kringle Inn is failing! and it wasnโ€™t. glad these two found each other or whatever but they were both uninteresting. i skimmed all the sex scenes after the first one. and why did the end of this book have to have like repetitively awful verbal abuse scenes with the ex? That is, until he leaves her crying outside her apartment wearing a Halloween costume, having broken it off with her because sheโ€™s just not serious enough. She was just fun, he tells her โ€“ and now that Richard has become a partner at his law firm in his sights, he needs to focus on work. I really liked Damien. I loved that he showed Abbie what she was missing in a man who treats his woman right. Literally everything he did was very swoon worthy. Especially the scene at Thanksgiving dinner?? THAT was so sweet.

Damien โ€” he was actually amazing! His type of people are just the best ones! The ones who make you feel comfortable and confident, who don't judge you for being yourself, the ones who wouldn't make you feel insecure! His character was all good, and he was just fun to be around, if you can say, and umm he's also someone who would set their boundaries and respect others too! I loved how he made Abbie feel and listened to her. โœจ gave me life with her inner monologue. I swear sheโ€™s so cute and her little character staples were adorable. I despised the way Richard influenced her so much but seeing her loving herself and learning how she shouldโ€™ve been treated was the best. Whatโ€™s the last thing youโ€™d ever want your executive assistant to see you doing the morning after you had hot, drunk, angry sex with her in a terrible hotel room? Dancing around your terrible hotel room to โ€œCome and Get Your Loveโ€ like Star-Lord in Guardians of the Galaxyโ€”naked? Yeah. Me too. When I found out this book was a loosely based on legally blonde my interest was piqued. Then I found out Morgan bases her books off of Taylor Swift songs. and I was sold. Talk about combining two of my favorite things! ever. So I had to read it and I. Regret. Nothing. So she does what every girl does when sheโ€™s broken up with: she calls her friends, gets drunk, dyes her hair, and formulates her plan for revenge. It just so happens that the universe supports her efforts and gives her the perfect match to prove to her ex that he made a huge mistake: his boss.It is a full-length romance with a Happily Ever After that features sexually explicit material and profanity. This book is intended for 18+. Abbie Keller thought that Richard Bartholemew Benson the Third would be her forever. In their four years of dating, she never doubted that she wouldnโ€™t end up with his grandmotherโ€™s engagement ring on her finger. Sure, she had to change a few things about herself to fit that mold, like dying her hair, dressing more conservatively, and finding golf enjoyable (honestly the most difficult of the changes), but she was sure that at the end of it all, it would be worth it. She looks around then her eyes stop on mine.

The first was when I agreed to let her have Christmas Day off, but only if she went with me to three family gatherings as my fake girlfriend. Revenge is a dish best served coldโ€ฆ I never understood why thatโ€™s the saying. Especially when everything about this revenge was hot, hot hot! Tis the Season for Revenge is a contemporary, grumpy sunshine, age-gap, Christmas romance. Why should you read Tis the Season for Revenge by Morgan Elizabeth ? Enter best friend, Luka Peters. He just came home for some hot chocolate and somehow got a farm and a serious girlfriend. It was just ok for me. A story about a girl getting petty revenge on her emotionally abusive ex-boyfriend seems right up my alley but I just couldn't vibe with this book. I did love Mr. Damien Martinez though, that man was ridiculously sexy and sweet. Naranja? So damn cute! And the way Abbie would idolize Damien and him being a lawyer (Richard was also one) - Richard would blow her off for work to defend scumbags, but Damien? Damien only did so to take a pro bono case, he's a saint! And don't get me wrong, he was generally a good guy, but when she went all "you're helping keep the scales of justice balanced", I went full on LMAOOO because girl, he's a founding partner in an exclusive law firm, trust me, the last thing he does is helping the justice (no matter how many pro bono cases with victims of domestic violence he takes, sorry not sorry) ยฏ\_(ใƒ„)_/ยฏ iโ€™m going to make a very bold claim butโ€ฆ tis the season for revenge is THE holiday romance of 2022.

Colton agrees to consider Gretchenโ€™s offer in exchange for three dates before Christmas. With the help of the Bromance Book Club, Colton throws himself into the task of proving to her thereโ€™s a spark between them. But Gretchen and Colton will both need to overcome the ghosts of Christmas past to build a future together. Why should you read this book? Authors, if you are a member of the Goodreads Author Program, you can edit information about your own books. Find out how in this guide. I couldnโ€™t stop reading, I needed to know what happens next. Every chapter keeps you on your toes. The ending was so well written. Exactly what they needed, these two are made for each other! Country musicโ€™s golden boy Colton Wheeler felt the perfect harmony when he was with Gretchen Winthrop. But for her, it is โ€œa love him and leave himโ€ the situation. A year later, Colton struggles to push his music forward in a new direction. If it werenโ€™t about to be the most magical time of year and the support of the Bromance Book Club, heโ€™d be wallowing in self-pity.

the plot was a blast & the side characters too. iโ€™m gonna need the two bffโ€™s to have books immediately. Overall, this is a pretty good Christmas read and one that will make you swoon with the sweetness and hot with the spice. Abbie kept comparing everything Damien was doing with what Richard used to do and kept overthinking the worst-case scenarios and didn't allow herself to be HERSELF! The standards set by Richard were so engraved into her mind that even though she hated them, she hated herself more for following them. She was insecure, had no self-esteem, and felt bad because even though you do everything for the other person, 'YOU'RE NOT ENOUGH' for them. It gets super toxic that some days you sit and think that maybe it was you who did something wrong that they left you because. The revenge plot and strong female friendships that weren't relegated to a subplot behind a romance were also a blast to read about. Overall, I do think Morgan Elizabeth made some really important points telling this story and I appreciated that, it's just that a lot of times these points were made with an unwavering subtlety of a hammer, instead of flowing naturally from the story.
