About this deal

The whistle pattern Thomas makes when he wakes Gordon up for the second time is used in Mister Moose's Fun Time whenever Thomas' segment in that show is coming up next.

Diesel | Daisy | BoCo | Mavis | Derek | 'Arry and Bert | Diesel 10 | Salty | Dennis | Den | Dart | Paxton | Norman | Sidney | Philip Due to sharing Diesel's body shell, the HO Paxton's eyes are raised higher than they are in the show, thus causing his whole face to be incorrectly proportioned. This issue was fixed on the large scale model, as both Paxton and Diesel were designed at the same time.

There are two versions of the 6-ton wagon; one with white lettering and the other with a more cream tint. The white lettering wagons have an unglossed chassis on the bottom and would have the "K101019".

In the close-up of Thomas' driver and fireman inside his cab, the shed is missing as just blue sky can be seen in through Thomas' cab windows. When the N scale Thomas and Percy models were first revealed, their faces had been switched around and had swapped eyebrows. All HO scale four-wheel coaches and brake vans (excluding Henrietta and Toad) are missing their dummy coupling hooks. The PDF version of Toby's blueprints incorrectly labelled him as "Toby the Big Express Engine". [1] This was intended for Gordon's blueprints. Several maps show the main line terminating at the junction, though some books mention that the terminus is Tidmouth. Furthermore, Knapford appears to be larger than Tidmouth, whereas the Rev. W. Awdry stated in The Island of Sodor: Its People, History and Railways that it is smaller than Tidmouth. Thomas/ Sir Handel/Gordon/ Peter Sam/James/Percy/ Duncan/ Stepney/Diesel/ Rosie is a really useful engine! The cab steps are mounted on the valences instead of under the footplate. Strangely, his prototype model did not have this problem.

Bachmann models were used as references for the Percy, James, Gordon and Emily replicas at Thomas Land US. Spencer's footplate flattens out at the cab, unlike his television series model which keeps going at a slope. His boiler is also too thin. Until well on into the 19th Century, it was a rough place, the haunt of smugglers who alternated as fishermen and who had developed their special kippering process, the secret of which is still jealously preserved today. The German audiobook features an extra scene of Gordon feeling guilty about what he did to Thomas, which could have foreshadowed him and Thomas forming their alliance in Down the Mine.

Tidmouth Drive in Columbus, Ohio, United States, is named after the fictional town. It is adjacent to several other streets also named after towns on Sodor. A.W. Dry and Company faced considerable opposition when wishing to use the harbour as a base for operations in the Knapford area. Boat building, however, was among their various activities and they had produced a new design of fishing boat which fortunately found favour with the Tidmouth men. This together with judicious "sweeteners" eventually opened the door to an amicable arrangement. Supplies and equipment for the drainage project could then be brought in by sea and conveyed along a coastal road built for the purpose round the headland.

With so much to do, Thomas Land has proven a hit with families and has become a destination in its own right, to the point now where it is open for Spencer's prototype had differently shaped eyebrows and did not have his whistle, buffers, coupling hook or lamp irons. The roofs are attached and have plastic frames and rectangles attached underneath them to resemble windows, unlike the large scale models that have unattached roofs. Emily's coaches and the Christmas coaches have similar features. The name is likely derived from Sidmouth, a town on the English Channel in Devon, South West England.

The town's growth as a port and industrial centre has been phenomenal and it rapidly became the Island's commercial capital. However, it still retains many marks of its uncouth origins and is not attractive to tourists. Nevertheless, those ramblers who are bold and dedicated enough to scramble up the steep path beside the Falls of Tid will be rewarded in the valley beyond, which is a place of awesome splendour. Mention of the Falls is a further reminder of Messrs A. W. Dry's enterprise. In 1906, by harnessing the Falls of Tid, Tidmouth became the first town in Sodor to be lit by electricity. Tidmouth received a Royal Charter to become a Borough in 1918. Diesel's model was used as the basis for 'Arry, Bert and Paxton, due to all of them being BR Class 08 shunters. As a result, 'Arry and Bert have faux wires around their headlights, as well as brake pipes, which they do not have in the series like Diesel and Paxton do. The coaches in the Thomas' Christmas Delivery and Thomas' Christmas Special sets are Emily's coaches repainted. The blue narrow gauge van has the letters "SR" painted on the side which stand for "Skarloey Railway", while the red van does not, as it's based on Cora from The Railway Series. Interestingly enough, the large scale Brake Van similarly has the letters "NW" for " North Western".
