A large-capacity bowl means you'll be able to make bigger batches. However, the bigger the bowl size, the more space it’s likely to take up in your kitchen. It’s also worth bearing in mind that bigger bowls can be more of a faff to clean by hand or may be awkward to fit in the dishwasher. The Express is essentially a one-function food processor, with a taller chute. Yet I’m horrified by how easy it is to use. A switch trips the revolving, hidden blade. Manual models often leave sizeable, unspiralized vegetable stumps. Not so here – after the action, one is left holding an acceptably small knob – which is a good thing. Some food processors come with a lid that has a wider feed tube so you can process larger items, such as potatoes or cucumbers, without having to chop them up first. Dishwasher-safe attachments and accessories The only real issue is the amount of kit can be overwhelming at first, so make time to watch the demo videos, as well as read the booklet in the box.
