About this deal

We love the relatively simple and portable design that’s easy to put together and start using immediately. (You might also find this particularly refreshing if you don’t like anything too techy). The handle is comfy and easy to use and shouldn’t leave your hand aching after a few pumps like some manual ones do. Second time around I wasn’t able to breastfeed anyway so it was bottles all the way. I couldn’t believe how free I felt, being able to leave the house and leave someone else do the feed! It just never occurred to me to have done that sooner! Tracy: The only change I would like is if the manufacture could provide a little storage bag with the product to make transportation a little easier. Overall, I was very impressed with this product and I found that my bottle fussy little one took her feed from this bottle very well too! I would definitely recommend this product to my family and friends. Rachel Carpenter: This breast pump is really efficient at pumping milk. I've found it far more comfortable to use than the hand pump and it's particularly good as it's small and portable. I'll definitely be taking this away on holiday with me and won't be worrying about it taking up space in my bag. I've found I can do other things at the same time as pumping as I'm able to walk round using the product which I wouldn't have expected to be able to. I have to say I'm very impressed! The best electric breast pumps are brilliant and designed to make the lives of new mums easier – so they can go out, go work, or go nap.

Unlike a manual breast pump, an electric breast pump doesn’t require you to repeatedly squeeze the handle for milk to be expressed.

Our First Look tester had no issues expressing with the pump. There was no nipple pinching (ouch), soreness, or plastic friction, and the silicone cushioning was very comfortable. I have had such different experiences with each of my children and I think third time around I have finally found a balance that works for me. As a first time mum I was too shy to breastfeed in public and so stayed home or made very short trips out, ensuring I was always home for feeds. I did that for 5 months and never even thought to express anything to allow myself some me time.

Nuby Ultimate Single Electric Breast Pump – Stimulation

For the occasional pump if you need to leave your baby with a relative or friend as a one-off, a manual pump will likely suffice. Tracy: I love the fact that the display unit is a rechargeable mobile unit and I don't have to pay out for extra batteries. I found the display panel very user friendly, even when battling sleep deprivation! Also the controls were very easy to adjust the suction for efficient, comfortable pumping. I liked the minutes display on the panel too, as I knew how long I had been pumping and how much longer I had left to go. So do Nuby's special silicone cups really do the business or will our First Look tester be left with an engorged sense of disappointment? Read on to find out… What are the stand-out features of the Nuby Natural Touch? Perfect for expressing at home & on the move with a small rechargeable li-ion battery that lasts up to 3 hours, this is the double pump of dreams that's not only super quiet vs. other pumps but is really comfy too with soft-silicone shields.

If you’re looking for a manual breast pump that’s simple and effective to use, Vital Baby’s Nurture Flexcone is one of our favourites. So, what’s new about it? Medela has created new Flex breast shields that help to express more milk and provide more comfort when pumping. As a result, it’s very easy to set up and use, and efficient at collecting milk. On the whole, I would 100% recommend this pump and it is worth getting the adaptor kit. I love it so much that I have stored it away in hopes that i'll be able to use it if/when baby number 2 comes along. Read more The pump has two settings – stimulation and expression. The first gives a tingling sensation and stimulates milk production. Once milk starts to flow you can switch to expression mode and keep going until you have enough. I always express after Wills has finished feeding so it doesn’t take much to stimulate before the milk flows steadily. Electric breast pumps include hospital-grade models, double breast pumps and some newer, more revolutionary designs.

Electric breast pumps are more expensive than manual hand pumps, so many wonder whether it's worth forking over the extra cash for an electric design. I love that you express straight into the bottles, I was managing 4-5 oz in 15-20 minutes (one breast) and this was when my baby was only a few weeks old, so if I had carried on (I only managed to breast feed for 4 weeks as my baby just wouldn't latch, and I was not established enough to solely express, plus only one breast was producing milk, so was forced to stop) i'm sure I could have got much more.

The pump is easy to use – there are no small parts to fiddle around with, which is brilliant, as it's always a bit daunting putting little pieces of your breast pump in the dishwasher or trying to hand wash every nook and cranny of a tiny valve. Our tester found the assembly simple and the instruction manual easy to speed read. You spoke...we listened...& the Double Digital Electric Breast Pump was born (ta dah!). It’s extra high-tech, extra gentle & easy to use, whatever size your boobs are. Phew!
