About this deal

But you really do need to use a high-quality amplifier or audio interface to get the most out of these headphones. driver, The PRO X range are going to sound excellent in the Studio, plugged into an interface or amplifier – but you can also use them on the go if you plug them into a laptop or a smartphone as they are going to turn up very loud. The membrane can “breathe” in an otherwise closed housing and is therefore extremely quick and precise in its response, accurately reproducing frequencies anywhere between 5 and 35,000 Hz. Mids can take a bit of a backseat to the highs (very obvious in instrument-heavy Meat Loaf songs), but a properly-mixed track will preserve vocals and most instrument sounds quite nicely. Really, the biggest change you should make is to tone down everything above 6kHz by about 5dB until your playlists aren’t grating.

Bought them from Guitar Center and the receipt says they're new, so I guess I'll have to trust that. So I pulled them apart - which turned out to be more tricky than it should as the screws used by Beyer were different sizes in each side on the left can, and made of something resembling tissue paper - so I managed to strip the head off one of them!I know some headphones have a mono switch of sorts so I can just wear one ear, but it doesn't look like these have one. The beyerdynamic DT 770 PRO headphones have established themselves as a firm favourite amongst music producers, sound engineers and broadcasters and are used in studios all over the world.

However, they’re not emphasized to the same degree as they are on other more consumer-friendly headphones. I checked where the sleeving had been stripped (in the "factory") and found the cores had been damaged - so I cleaned those up . You may notice right away that this headset uses velour padding, which is exactly the sort of thing that those with glasses prefer to leatherette ear pads because it doesn’t squeak or catch when you move your head. Casual listeners at the computer who need a super-comfortable set of closed-back headphones, or users with glasses will also find a good option in the Beyerdynamic DT 770 PRO (80Ω).The solder had grown whiskers [this is a known industry problem, especially with Lead-Free solder] so I cleaned those off [cocktail stick, less caution, no trepidation] . The last thing you want is your headphones’ clamping force to take you out of a vocal track or beat. The DT 770 PRO headphones is the range’s closed-back model and offers maximum flexibility and detailed sound that you can rely on. It also has the added benefit of not trapping in heat as badly as the aforementioned alternative does. stereo jack with 1/4" adapter and is therefore suitable for use with almost all headphone amplifiers.

Andertons Music Company acts as a credit broker and not a lender and only offers credit products from Secure Trust Bank PLC trading as V12 Retail Finance.First things first, this is not a set of “muddy” headphones, or whatever words people like to use when describing sound they don’t like. Because of its build and sound quality, this pair of headphones is best suited to music creators with a need for a durable, high-quality set of tracking headphones in the recording booth. I’ve soldered Beyerdynamic cans back together for friends before, but it’s not something most people are willing to do. They reproduce the entire frequency range with incredible precision, and even reproduce low frequencies in punchy detail. As I mentioned before, there is also threading for a 1/4-inch adapter for use with older or higher-power systems with the larger connection.

I've just spent about six hours trying to work out why (when recording with Reaper) the mix in my headphones was in Mono . Bought them from Guitar Center and the receipt from says they're new, so I guess I'll have to trust that. If you’re worried about comfort, there’s no need; you can use this for hours without anything feeling off. Going to college, on tour, or even just hanging out in a studio is murder on plastic over the long haul.On top of that the comfort and the overall mechanical design was increased and a removable XLR cable was added that can be swapped out depending on what you’re doing. Having just realized this issue, I'm (hopefully understandably) rather anxious and concerned about my purchase. If you find that you can’t get the volume you want, then and only then should you consider an amplifier. As these are closed back headphones with no difficulty sealing to your head, lows will come through as loud as they should.
