About this deal

I'm running xplane 12 on an M1 Mac and the lights weren't working even after running the configurator.

However, before you do that, make sure you download and run the software from Honeycomb that enables the LEDs on the throttle. Since I only have macOS and Windows X-Plane, I wasn’t able to test the Honeycomb Bravo Quadrant with Linux. I noticed with macOS and the Honeycomb Bravo that the NAV button and integral light didn’t gave an action in the X-Plane aircraft, but when I selected the NAV AP button at the X-Plane Baron, I got the NAV light at the Honeycomb Bravo. For use in an airliner you can choose a configuration with two or four thrust levers, levers for spoiler and flaps.I also find it shows as uninstalled in Content Manager, but unable to be installed from there, as others have described. Adding to these paragraphs, you can find additional json profile files thus other aircraft types, at this dedicated Aerosoft Bravo Throttle Quadrant forum page. I did the import as Everyday Normal Geek stated in his procedure and everything works except the throttle.

Then you can see one of more annunciator lights illuminated on the light panel in front of the levers. Now after several years in development, its second product, the Bravo Throttle Quadrant is nearing release. Additional features include an undercarriage handle with green/red lights to indicate the status of the landing gear and a GA-style elevator trim wheel. From my understanding, Honeycomb hardware was supposed to work out of the box but that surely isn’t the case. The mounting plate can, however, be separated from the base and cleaned with soapy water to regenerate the tensile strength or stickiness to its original form. In case you’re new to Flight Simulation hardware or looking around, lets give you some background information about this US based company. Each of the engine’s handles is equipped with reverse thrust levers, which is modelled on a typical Boeing-type mechanism. Yes, of course, the Auto Pilot section on the Bravo Throttle Quadrant is different then the MCP in the modeled 738, but it’s right now more important that you can enter via the Bravo your IAS, HDG and ALT. While writing this, I must admit that, using the Bravo for a twin engine GA aircraft and sitting in the left-hand pilot seat, I wonder if my setup – Bravo on the left, Alpha on the right – is logical.

Due to the length of this review and the chapters/sections about the Honeycomb Bravo Throttle Quadrant, I’ve decided to include a Table of Contents.

Our response may include blocking access to or removing allegedly infringing material and/or terminating accounts. Essentially, the base of the throttle quadrant consists of six axes, to which it is possible to attach two sets of interchangeable handles. Besides the flyers, the Honeycomb manual is available in three different languages; English, German and French. You can’t assign these yourself, so you have to accept what’s illuminated and hope that this is correct for the aircraft you’ve loaded.

These 3rd party tools are not always super-easy to learn and obviously they are not free, but eventually they can do a lot of conditional stuff which makes the investment worth it (for example I can use an extra button to control whether heading knob will be moving in 1-degree steps or 10-degree steps or whatever). In terms of control inputs, the movement of the levers was smooth and precise with the right amount of travel.
