Self-contained and remarkably easy to use, Oculus Quest 2 represents the very best of VR gaming and experiences, in a package that even a technological novice can set up and appreciate. And what better way to convince those who aren't sold on the potential of VR yet than with a headset that delivers on quality and slots into your living room without any extra equipment? I haven't had a need for that, because after 2 hours of playing, it's nice to take a little break anyway. I thought that the graphics seemed rudiment and elementary and would appeal more to those who are under the age of 13. This way, you can get an idea of how many games you can load on the 64 vs 128 vs 256 GB versions of the headset.

So far, we have played hours with the batteries that came with it, but I would suggest purchasing double A batteries, either Duracell or a brand name, I have actually thought about purchasing nicad rechargeable batteries.Hand tracking – which arrived on the original Quest via a firmware update, but is baked into the Quest 2 from the off – is also highly impressive, though can feel a little like a work in progress at times. I recommend sticking to controllers for now, but the prospect of being able to use your hands is certainly exciting.

It's worth pointing out that some games won't work well if you're just standing still, you'll need to be able to reach out and grab things, but a lot of the key games available at launch, like Beat Saber and Angry Birds, can work if you're stationary.This went away minutes after taking the headset off and didn't hurt, but the same with our experience with the Oculus Go, it kind of felt like we'd been smiling for too long. The battery gives me quite a bit of play time (about 2 hours), and if needed one can charge while playing (charger or Powerbank - it seems the USB-c charger/Powerbank should at least support 5V/2. The Oculus Quest 2 is one of the best VR headsets available for both beginners and seasoned VR veterans alike. The button placement smartly helps to simulate real-life hand movements, such as squeezing a gun trigger, giving your friends a thumbs up or catching a ball.
