About this deal

This first full-length study of Anglo-Saxon priests' books examines a wide array of evidence, including booklists, music, liturgy, narrative, and, crucially, the surviving manuscripts. This is one of the best books of redemption I've ever read, about a man who did some truly horrible, some would say unforgivable things, and has been working hard the past several years to make amends for his wrongs, a journey he continues even as he meets the man who just might be the love of his life. Told from the perspective of a death row inmate, the writing seamlessly flows from gritty reality to breathtaking fantasy. Now a major motion picture directed by Martin Scorsese, starring Liam Neeson, Adam Driver and Andrew Garfield. I’ve always been fascinated by our creative urges and ambitions, and by what makes us who we are and why we make the choices we do.

The Soho Noir series written by him is set between the years 1940 and 1970 and takes place in the West End of London.

This is the 30th book, but considering Alex has survived "Kill Alex Cross" before, chances are he survives this one. Luckily, he’s already got one in the shape of Zenny Iverson, the gorgeous girl he stole away from a convent (once upon a time). We build and maintain all our own systems, but we don’t charge for access, sell user information, or run ads. When I began the series I knew I wanted it to be set in an urban city, not just because I’m a city girl at heart, but because of the eclectic nature, diversity, and color that can be found in the big city. We understand that not everyone can donate right now, but if you can afford to contribute, we promise it will be put to good use.

I have two short things to work on--a novella for a project that hasn't been announced yet, and partial manuscript for my agent for a submission for a traditional publisher (it's an erotic contemporary retelling of Esther and the King, if you wanted to know. I began playing with the stuff—making up stories and stapling them into books, the raw beginnings of a future novelist. The desolate landscape was so well described that I could feel the intense heat of the Australian sunshine and the harshness of the outback surroundings. What it is is a series of books to make you laugh, cry, think, and most of all, want to go live in the imaginary town of Mitford, North Carolina.
