About this deal

I was bored because even with a crazy story line (wild hyenas from Africa decide to come to England and impersonate people), I wasn't really laughing or even giggling. Bold gets a job writing jokes, which then go into Christmas crackers, so the book is full of truly pathetic, corny jokes. Travelling to the UK on their tickets and passports, they move into 41 Fairfield Gardens where, since the pair they replace had only recently moved in, no one seems the wiser. My boy spends hours reading through the joke collection which is superbly interwoven into the storyline. They have two young pups, and everything seems fine until the twin difficulties of a nasty neighbour (Mr. Having seven in the collection, this play focuses on the first book - the story of The Bolds; a family just like the majority of us, who live in a nice house, have nice jobs and love a giggle. They soon produce twins: Betty (Mae Munuo) and Bobby (Sam Swann), who are just like every kid (except for their tails of course).

There’s also some great panto elements with the Bolds asking the kids in the audience if British people laugh, and laying out some terrible (or excellent, depending on perspective) Christmas cracker jokes. I saw this book and the cover immediately pulled me in (I am a cover lover after all), after checking the blurb, I knew I just had to get this book, and I did.
