We do not consider the Scout Association’s navy Activity Trousers as an essential piece of the Uniform and ask members to wear suitable trousers or shorts depending on the conditions as per meeting and activity.

For badges with several levels, such as Chief Scout's Award, Duke of Edinburgh Award, participation awards and staged activity badges, only the highest numbered badge achieved should be worn on the uniform.

Our range of Explorers Clothing is fantastic for looking smart together and for the ease of identification at larger events. The hghest number earned in the Scout Troop for each of these awards can continue to be worn on the Explorer uniform until superceded by a higher number.The scarf, woggle and badges are supplied by the explorer unit as part of the investiture; the shirt, trousers and belt need to be purchased by the Explorer.

For all members of the Explorer Scout Unit, the official Explorers Shirt has a single breast pocket, a button-down collar and a pleated back.

However, we insist that for Parades members MUST wear smart trousers, either black or charcoal in colour, with smart black shoes. This lightweight, loose fit Explorer Scout short sleeve uniform shirt is a cool alternative for the summer.
