Description

The 65C845K's HDMIs, together with its 120Hz panel, support the latest 4K/120Hz, variable refresh rate (including the AMD FreeSync Premium Pro format) and ALLM gaming features, while the set's Game picture mode gets input lag down to a good (though not class-leading) 15.3ms. Gamers thinking the C845K’s startling spec-to-price ratio might make it an exciting potential gaming monitor will be pleased to hear that it uses a 120Hz panel, while two of its four HDMI ports are capable of receiving 4K/120Hz feeds from the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and sufficiently high-spec PCs. In fact, the screen is even capable of handling 144Hz PC titles.

The TCL C641K boasts 4K resolution, also known as Ultra HD, which provides four times the number of pixels compared to a standard Full HD television. This higher pixel density results in sharper and more detailed images, allowing you to see intricate details in your favorite movies, TV shows, and games. With 4K resolution, you can enjoy a more immersive and lifelike viewing experience, especially when watching native 4K content or upscaling lower-resolution content. The TCL C641K’s 4K resolution ensures that you can fully appreciate the depth and clarity of your favorite visual content. 8K Resolution TCL claims there are four HDMI 2.1 inputs, but in reality, only two are HDMI 2.1, the other two being HDMI 2.0b inputs. All four support 4K/60Hz, HDR10, HLG, HDR10+, Dolby Vision, HDCP 2.3, and CEC, only the 2.1 inputs can handle 4K/120Hz, VRR (Variable Refresh Rate), and ALLM (Auto Low Latency Mode). TCL has sensibly used one of the 2.0b inputs for eARC (Enhanced Audio Return Channel), allowing you to connect two gaming consoles and a soundbar. Putting together the stand was fairly old-school in terms of requiring 10 screws in all – six to put the base together, four to put the base onto the TV. Some TVs are almost screw-free these days, but no problem here – TCL’s diagrams were clear and the process straightforward, with the TV dropped flat onto its box, still in its protective sheetings, and the stand extending forward of the TV. It’s a flat folding shiny steel central stand here, rather than the little twin-end legs that TCL uses elsewhere. It is Alexa-compatible, but as a Google TV it’ll clearly work best with Google Assistant, especially as the C845 has this capability built-in, with microphones both on the TV and available on the remote by pressing the key with Google’s meaningless coloured symbols on it. When first detecting an HDR10 signal, the TV defaults to IMAX for some reason, but we’d recommend switching to the more accurate Movie picture mode, which offers an extensive choice of picture controls. One of these settings is Dynamic Tone Mapping, and while there’s a choice of options, the default balance setting appears to deliver the best overall performance. There are of course a few key differences between the 2022 and 2023 models. The C835K can’t hit the same levels of brightness as its successor, with peak brightness of 1,500 nits compared to 2,000 nits. It also uses an older processor – AiPQ 2.0 – meaning HDR tone-mapping and general processing aren’t quite as impressive. There’s no 98in option either, and the speaker system is powered differently, with two 15W drivers and a single 30W driver in place of the pair of 25W drivers and single 20W driver on the C835K. While the TCL C81 QLED isn’t the most attractive TV of 2020, it certainly isn’t ugly. The frame around the screen is narrow, and the outer edges of its rear are exceptionally slim for an LED TV. A result, no doubt, of the TV using edge-based rather than direct LED lighting (where the lights sit right behind the screen). Second, HDR images that contain a complex mixture of dark and bright content can sometimes cause the mostly strong local dimming engine to struggle, leaving images looking a little patchy and misty as the TV struggles to work out the optimal blend for its dimming zones.

What sets a great TV apart from the rest? The answer lies in the details. The TCL C841K doesn’t just deliver a pretty picture; it brings you the subtleties and nuances that make your viewing experience unforgettable. Thanks to Full Array Local Dimming, each frame is a canvas of light and shadow, showcasing the tiniest details with impeccable precision. From the faintest star in a night sky to the intricate patterns in a rain-soaked cityscape, this TV ensures you don’t miss a thing. Cinematic Splendor: IMAX Enhanced and Dolby Vision & Atmos Experience This part is simpler than it first seems. When it comes to the jumble of numbers and letters TCL has applied to its 2023 TVs, we can actually break each code down in just a few steps. Let’s take one of the big guns from this year’s bunch, the 65C845K: The TCL C641K QLED television is available in a variety of size options, catering to different room sizes and viewing preferences. Depending on the model, you can typically find the television in sizes ranging from 43 inches to 75 inches or even larger. Choosing the right size for your needs depends on the viewing distance, room layout, and personal preferences. It’s important to consider the space available and ensure that the chosen size offers an immersive and comfortable viewing experience. With the TCL C641K’s range of size options, you can find the perfect fit for your home entertainment setup. 4K Resolution We’re waiting to find out the official information regarding other features such as connectivity, so will be sure to update you with that information when it’s available. TCL C805 sizes and pricingThe C81 QLED’s sound is mostly impressive for such an affordable TV. The soundbar delivers a large soundstage with a genuine sense of verticality that sits well with the TV’s built-in Dolby Atmos decoding. This doesn’t mean you actually hear overhead effects, but you do get a wall of sound that at least feels as tall as the TV. The TCL C641K is a QLED television with cutting-edge technology and impressive features to enhance your viewing experience. With its sleek design, exceptional picture quality, and immersive sound, this television offers a truly immersive entertainment experience. This review will delve into the technology, features, design, picture quality, and sound quality of the TCL C641K QLED television. Technology
