Stay one step ahead of the competition. The JBL Quantum 800 headset gives you the edge with accurate spatial audio positioning, lossless 2.4GHz, and Bluetooth dual-wireless capability, Active Noise Cancelling, memory-foam comfort, and up to 14-hour battery life. Designed for total immersion, JBL QuantumSOUND Signature gives you a true audio advantage in battle. The microphone delivers clear multiplayer interactions, with a DISCORD-certified game-chat system, also compatible with TeamSpeak, and more. An ergonomic design with leather-wrapped, memory foam cushions keeps you comfortable for hours. The JBL Quantum 800 headset helps you level up, whether you're a seasoned pro or new to the game. However, as I mentioned above, the real complicating factor in how the JBL Quantum 800 sounds are the surround sound options. Both the QuantumSURROUND and DTS:X 2.0 settings noticeably alter the audio profile of the headset, and not always in flattering ways. Turning on either setting means two things to varying degrees: mids get less emphasis, and everything else gets boosted, in slightly odd ways. With the DTS setting, it’s a little less noticeable—everything seems louder, for sure, but otherwise sounds normal. Mediocre battery life: 14 hours is enough for me, as I can charge overnight and am rarely playing 14 hours a day - that being said, it's not as good as competitors

With that said it's definitely worth the money will try to upload better pictures stay tuned, and will keep you updated on The wear and tear. Did not include the USB dongle I am not able to connect it to my device as it is missing the USB dongle...??? Tied for the worst part of the 800. With Lights, USB wireless, Bluetooth, and ANC you are looking at 9-10 hours. With no lights, no ANC, just Bluetooth and USB wireless you are looking at about 24 hours or so. My next test will be with ANC, Bluetooth, USB, and no lights to see how much ANC affects battery and i will update this section. I’ve been PCMag’s home entertainment expert for over 10 years, covering both TVs and everything you might want to connect to them. I’ve reviewed more than a thousand different consumer electronics products including headphones, speakers, TVs, and every major game system and VR headset of the last decade. I’m an ISF-certified TV calibrator and a THX-certified home theater professional, and I’m here to help you understand 4K, HDR, Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos, and even 8K (and to reassure you that you don’t need to worry about 8K at all for at least a few more years).Software: Is buggy with Windows 11. The ability to select the headset in windows sound properties disappears randomly, and you need to either reboot, or go to sound settings via command prompt to see if it's there to be activated. Uninstalling the software fixes the problem, and I assume it'll be fixed in a future update. Not a deal breaker (for me) as I don't really need the software to begin with. You can switch off the RGB by holding a button on the earcup anyways.

Also, the human brain uses small head movements to distinguish if sound sources are behind or in front of us. The brain processes the differences between when a sound arrives at the left vs. the right ear to determine where the sound is located. So with JBL QuantumSPHERE 360, you can move your head naturally to pinpoint the exact source of sounds around you.Full charge is between an hour and 2. Very fast. As i am sure you have read the headset will immediately cut power when plugged in and i hate that. But also if there is no sound from USB 2.4ghz or Bluetooth playing for about 20 minutes the headset powers down. And once the battery is at about 25% it will play a warning aound. Then again at aboit 15% and 5%. For my comparison the TB700 does a stagnant voice prompt that is annoying and the arctis does a tone every few minutes which is just as annoying. I do not find the JBL 800 warning annoying. It highlights how the battery isn't THAT bad since the warnings are about an hour or more apart. Plenty of time to give it a 15 minite charge for a solid 20% boost. Microphone: It's good, not great. It's better than MANY wireless microphones I've tried, certainly better than the Razor and Logitech microphones I've tried across their recent lineup. Corsair HS80 has this pair beat in terms of microphone quality, but it's got its own issues in other areas (namely, terrible connectivity). All else being equal, this wireless mic is better than most.

Verdict- As it is my first JBL item and as a hardcore gamer I'd like to think this is a fantastic piece of equipment... My only issue is I'm not sure if one of the speakers is having issues at max volume as it sounds a little shaky.

Signs that it may have been opened previously, Will update with further information but as of yet I am unable to test the device. Typically, you need to spend a hefty chunk of money to get headphones with good ANC, and the feature is rarely found on gaming headsets at all. The Quantum 800’s ANC is surprisingly strong, cutting out a decent amount of surrounding noise without producing a low-level hiss or significantly changing the sound of what you’re listening to (problems often found in cheap ANC). The Quantum 800's are easy to use between different devices, very straight forward. They have great range with the usb adapter. No complaints about audio quality, except when using their Surround Sound settings. I can't tell if it enhances games, but with music quality through the pc it tends to dull the audio.
