Description

A truly iconic Warhammer monster, the Greater Daemons of Tzeentch are called Lords of Change: terrifying, 20-foot-tall hybrids of human, reptile, and bird of prey who walk on their hind legs or fly on huge bird-wings, and channel the warpinto potent psyker spells. With Nurgle abilities now on unmodified 6’s this box is an excellent choice for all the puss fans out there. Contents: 1 x Orruk Warchanter (Hero), 10 x Orruk ‘Ardboyz (Batteline) and 3 Orruk Gore-Gruntas (Batteline in Ironjaws or Big Waagh! army) On the daemons side we have the Lore of Change, with spells mostly focussed on splashing mortal wounds. For example, Treason of Tzeentch is effective in doing mortal wounds to horde units, while another interesting one is Fold Reality that has 1 chance out of 6 to destroy one of your friendly demon units, or return up to 6 models to that unit (on a 2+). The old version of this with the Kabals stuff in felt a lot better than this one does. That said, you can at least get somewhere with this – all of Succubi, Wyches, and Venoms are good units you’ll want for a budding Drukhari army, and Reavers are OK I guess. What would have been really nice is if instead of replacing the old box, we got something like the Daemons of X boxes for Kabals, Covens, and Wych Cults, but alas.

Variety Box: Changecaster with Staff of Change, Exalted Flamer of Tzeentch, 1 Screamer of Tzeentch, and 3 Pink Horrors. All in the Start Collecting, but you will need some Blue and Brimstone to use the split abilities. To get also a Flamer of Tzeentch you will need to downgrade a Pink Horror to a Blue Horror and replace another one with the Flamer. How to buy a Tzeentch Daemons Warcry Warband Contents: 1 Primaris Battle Leader (HQ), 10 Intercessors (Troops), 3 Aggressors (Elites), 1 Space Wolves Primaris upgrade sprue

Khorne Daemons

If you want to be able to play everything right out of the box at low point values, without needing to add anything? At least one hard-hitting elite unit to reinforce your battleline troops once they’re in the fray, and possibly buff them too Introduced in the new season of Warcry, Reactions are things that can be done in certain circumstances, but always during the enemy turn. They cost one action, so they can be used only by fighters that have not activated yet or are waiting. There are 3 universal reactions and one specific to each warband: I'd say mono Tzeentch has always been playable. Before Warzone Fenris dropped it was sometimes painful, but the formations and new artefacts go a long way in making them more reliable and as a mono-Tzeentch only player, I'd won pretty much every game I'd played without resorting to a screamer star since it came out (although mostly against newbies but I'm also inexperienced) and that included a nasty SM psyker formation allied with Grey Knights and baby carriers. Wrath of Magnus only made things better, I think, so it should be more than viable in casual settings. I couldn't opine on competitive settings but I think it would do fine, screamer star is pretty infamous cheese.

Tzeentch has no priests, and all wizards have access to one of two spell lores. The Lore of Fate has great choices like Arcane Suggestion that is a debuffer that allows to choose between reducing to an enemy the save roll, the to hit and would rolls or prevent it from receiving and issuing commands, or Shield of Fate, that provides a friendly unit a ward that is more powerful the more Destiny Dice you have left.Twisted, one-horned humanoids made of diseased flesh, endlessly counting as they shamble forward, armed with rusty blades The Crypt Horrors can built as 2 different FEC units (Horrors and Flayers) or as a Nagash/Soulblight unit the Vargheists. The Horrors of Tzeentch are the most unusual of the Warcry fighters and are very thematic. Pink and Iridescent Horror have access to the Split reaction that allows to replace that fighter with 2 Blue Horrors, while the Blues can be replaced (again as a reaction) with a Brimstone Horror. Burning Chariot (with optional Herald of Tzeentch on foot). The Chariot can be assembled alternatively as a Herald of Tzeentch on Burning Chariot plus an Exalted Flamer. The Tzaangor Shaman is the hero version of the Tzaangor subgroup, one available also for the Beasts of Chaos army. Contrarily from that army, in Tzeentch the Shaman does not offer enough apart the ability to replenish D3 Tzaangors if he can slain as many enemy models with its spell.

However, Tzeentch’s most powerful, ascended daemonic servants adopt avian (birdlike) features like feathers, sharp beaks, and talons, the better to embody their god’s twin themes of hidden wisdom and cruelty. The second of the 2 Cities of Sigmar boxes that came out with the Battletome, this time its the chance of the old plastic Dwarves to take the turn in the spotlight. There’s actually a fair bit that hasn’t and this is mostly how Allies such as Slaves to Darkness and also Beasts of Chaos work within a Tzeentch Allegiance, but I think that is something that would be for another post. Fatemaster –Friend to both Daemons and Mortals, the Fatemaster’s command ability is incredibly valuable. Reroll all hits in a 9″ aura? Don’t lave home without him. Contents: 1 Lord-Aquilor (Hero), 5 x Vanguard Hunters (Batteline if General is Lord-Aquilor), 3 x Vanguard Palladors, 3 x Glyph-HoundsThe fighters all have low Toughness but compensate with a decent ranged firepower and good mobility to keep their opponents at distance.

Contents: 1 Terrorgheist (Behemoth, Batteline in Gristlegore) / Ghoul King on Terrorgheist (Leader, Behemoth) / Zombie Dragon (Behemoth, Battleline in Gristlegore) / Vampire Lord on Zombie Dragon (Leader, Behemoth), 3 x Crypt Horrors (Battleline in Blisterskin)/ Crypt Flayers (Battleline in Hollowmourne) / Vargheists (Battleline in Soulblight) and 10 x Crypt Ghouls. The Disciples of Tzeentch are composed of the various mortals that follow their god in his quest to extirpate reason from the world, be them humans or avian beastmen, and all mutated daemonic forms coming from the Crystal Labyrinth, an ever-changing fortress impossible to understand by a mortal mind. Their weapons are not made of steel but rather etched in eldritch tomes, to be used in spells and curses. The naked dwarves are excellent value for money with a massive saving on the RRP for the units at almost 50%. The Hero can be built in 3 different configurations but the rest of the units are single build options. Notably, their is a set of legs to build one of the Runefather/Runemaster/Runeson on foot in addition to the rider, which makes this rather a fantastic box. Tzeentchian wizards at the beginning of the first battle round can summon a Tzeentch Endless Spell automatically that cannot be unbound nor dispelled that round. Contents: 1 Auric Runefather/Runemaster/Runeson on Magmadroth (Hero, Behemoth), 1 Auric Runesmiter, and 10 x Vulkite Berzerkers (Batteline)Let’s cover the basic lorefirst. In Warhammer 40k Chaos Daemons are creatures of the Warp, a.k.a. the Immaterium. They’remade not of normal matter, but the darkly reflectedpsychic energyof mortal beings – many of them are manifestations of specific psychic traits, like vengefulness, envy, or obsession.
