The cumulative A/V score will still be based upon the HDR-10 rating, with the DV rating serving as informational only for now. This is consistent with each season as well whereas time goes on, the color shifts to even a darker and bluer tone as Winter is Coming. The improvement isn’t night and day when compared to the 1080p rendering however, more often than not, it truly shines.

Just an FYI the redemption code paperwork for the digital copies of the complete series was found within my Season 1 case. I love this series, but from a packaging quality perspective, this is the worst series I've purchased in the 20+ years that I've bought disc-based video media. I sampled episodes from each season here on the 4K discs and I put together a cumulative grade down below for both the audio and video presentations in this complete series release. Especially as it’s also the only season where we get to spend serious time with Ned Stark, who provides a constant tragic heart to all the mayhem that no other season can boast.

Home Entertainment featuring excellent overall video quality (which includes Dolby Vision HDR), engaging lossless surround sound, including complimentary Dolby Atmos immersive mix and a fan friendly assortment of supplements. Noise/Artifacts: Things are for the most part very clean (maybe some noise here or there in shadows) and not overly problematic at all throughout. This is a series where it feels like anything can happen… and that is a rare and wonderful thing indeed. But I can only report what I see, which is that the picture routinely looks higher in resolution than the HD Blu-ray. Season one, episode one of Game Of Thrones started in April of 2011, which was the same year that the first Thor film was released and Fast Five drifted onto the big screen.

So far (I'm through season 2 now) each disc has played successfully after a thorough cleaning, but I believe people would have fewer issues with this build if the manufacturer had hired 5-year-olds to put the discs into the packaging. Tyrion’s new role alongside Daenerys (who continues to be a force to be reckoned with) takes shape and we see narrative threads associated with Sam, The Hound (what! Some of the many Atmos moments you can expect to find within this complete series includes dragons flapping there hefty wings, flying, screaming, blowing fire and cold air downward and even landing, catapults, explosions, arrows overhead and you guessed it…my favorite saying…so much more.
